Robert Baldridge

Born and raised in Pinellas County, Robert began playing trumpet at the age of eight and has performed professionally with numerous ensembles throughout the years. He is a founding member of The Brass Ring as well as the webmaster for this site.

As a graduate from Seminole High School in 1995, Robert attended St. Petersburg Junior College where he studied music theory and trumpet performance. In 1998, Robert also joined The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps as a lead soprano for their 50th anniversary. He continued his trumpet studies along with music technology at Florida State University in 1999.

Robert has also worked in IT at a well-known software security company, where he was responsible for multiple roles including support management, QA/analysis, SQL DB management, CI and repository version control, and product localization.

Robert is currently the principal trumpet of the SPC Wind Symphony, BADO Chamber Orchestra, After Five Jazz Ensemble, and The Blessed Sacrament Brass Quartet. He also performs as a member of the The Tampa Bay Symphony, Florida Wind Band, and the Paradies Ensemble Brass Quintet.

When not performing, Robert teaches private lessons to trumpet students around the Tampa Bay area.
