Doug Ritchie received his musical training in the Navy School of Music and played for four years in a variety of formal and jazz Navy ensembles. After discharge from the Navy, he toured with various professional bands and has played and/or directed professional music groups. He is currently the leader of the Rhythm Kings of Tarpon Springs, Florida.
His daytime job is running the Tarpon Springs Pest Control Company which he created over 30 years ago. He is a cofounder of the Brass Ring Quintet and played trumpet on the 2018 recording featured in this website.
