Dick Montgomery

Dick grew up in Columbus, Ohio where he attended the Ohio State University in the mid 1960s and played in the Ohio State University Marching Band. Dick was a member of many bands in central Ohio including the River Ratz, Buckeye Ballroom Big Band, Worthington Civic Band, Lancaster Community Band, Columbus Pops, Greater Columbus Concert Band and the Festival Brass. He traveled to Europe three times with different musical groups. Dick also played with a jazz band in San Diego in 1996 for several events at the Republican National Convention (Dole/Kemp).

When Dick moved to North Fort Myers in January 2012, he started playing with bands like the Entertainers, Dixie Gators, Fun Bunch, Memory Makers, Island Jazz, American Patrol Band and Brass Music Elements. After moving to Clearwater in 2018 Dick is playing with the Voices of Jazz band, Brass Ring Quintet plus other musical offerings.

Dick has made four home made CDs. All the proceeds from Dick’s CDs have gone to charitable causes.
